Premium at-home health testing
Home Blood Test Kits UK – General Health & Wellness
Compare premium home blood test kits in the UK for a broad general health and wellness overview or a focused look at glucose, kidney function, liver function, iron status and inflammation.
Every panel answers a different question. A larger biomarker count is not automatically better: the most useful test is the one that matches the reason for testing and is interpreted with symptoms, medicines, previous results and medical history.
Seek urgent medical help for chest pain, severe breathlessness, fainting, confusion, signs of stroke, vomiting with marked drowsiness, severe dehydration, black or bloody stools, jaundice with severe illness, or rapidly worsening symptoms.
A considered approach to home testing
Private health insights, presented with clarity
Grace Belgravia home test kits are designed for people who value convenience, discretion and carefully presented health information. Each kit focuses on a defined set of laboratory markers, so you can compare a broad general-health panel with a more targeted test before ordering.
The collection is intentionally curated rather than overwhelming. Product pages explain what is measured, how to prepare, what the test cannot show and when medical review is more appropriate.

Broad panel or focused test?
| Approach | Potential advantage | Important limitation |
|---|---|---|
| Broad wellness panel | Reviews several health areas from one collection. | More markers can create incidental borderline results and may still omit the marker needed for a particular symptom. |
| Focused organ panel | Concentrates on kidney or liver-related laboratory context. | Does not replace urine testing, imaging, examination or repeat testing where clinically indicated. |
| Focused glucose test | Separates longer-term HbA1c from a fasting-glucose snapshot. | Each measure has situations in which it may be unsuitable or misleading. |
| Focused iron or hsCRP test | Provides a narrower result that may be easier to discuss. | Iron and inflammatory markers can be affected by illness, supplements and wider clinical factors. |
Symptoms can guide a conversation, not a diagnosis
Tiredness, low energy, weight change, headaches, poor concentration and changes in exercise tolerance are common and non-specific. They can relate to sleep, stress, medicines, infection, iron status, thyroid function, blood glucose, mental health, nutrition or conditions not included in these tests.
Review the exact marker list on each product page. Where symptoms persist or are concerning, a GP or clinician can decide whether a home panel, a different blood test, urine testing, examination or another investigation is more appropriate.

Frequently asked questions
General health home test kit FAQs
What is a general health blood test?
A general health blood test combines selected laboratory biomarkers to provide context on areas such as blood sugar, cholesterol, liver function, kidney function, iron status, vitamins or hormones. The exact markers differ between products, so the panel specification matters more than the label alone.
Can I take a general health blood test at home?
Yes. The tests on this page use at-home sample collection. Most use a finger-prick capillary blood sample collected into a microtainer and returned for laboratory analysis.
Which home blood test should I choose?
Choose according to the question you are trying to answer. A broad wellness panel may suit someone seeking a multi-system overview, while a focused kidney, liver, HbA1c, fasting glucose, iron or hsCRP test is narrower. A clinician can help when symptoms are persistent, severe or difficult to interpret.
Do at-home blood tests diagnose health conditions?
Not by themselves. A result may support further assessment, but diagnosis often requires symptoms, medical history, examination, repeat testing or additional investigations.
Do I need to fast?
It depends on the product. HbA1c, kidney and liver tests on this page generally do not require fasting. The fasting glucose test does, and the iron profile pathway recommends fasting. Always follow the instructions supplied with the specific kit.
What is the difference between HbA1c and fasting glucose?
HbA1c reflects average blood glucose over approximately two to three months, while fasting glucose measures the glucose concentration at the time the sample is collected after fasting.
Can a kidney function test diagnose chronic kidney disease?
No. Creatinine and calculated eGFR provide kidney filtration context, but chronic kidney disease generally requires persistent abnormalities over time and may also require urine albumin testing and clinical assessment.
Can a liver function test tell me whether my liver is healthy?
It reports selected enzymes and proteins. Normal results do not exclude every liver condition, and abnormal results may arise from several causes. Symptoms, medicines, alcohol history and follow-up tests may be relevant.
What does hsCRP measure?
High-sensitivity C-reactive protein measures a low concentration of an inflammation-related protein. It may add cardiovascular context in selected circumstances but does not identify the source of inflammation or replace formal cardiovascular-risk assessment.
What happens if a result is abnormal?
Read the laboratory commentary and arrange appropriate clinical review. Seek urgent help for severe symptoms rather than waiting for routine test results.
Are the laboratories UKAS accredited?
The stated laboratory pathway uses UKAS-accredited laboratories. UKAS accreditation to ISO 15189 assesses medical-laboratory quality and competence.
What does CQC registered mean?
The Care Quality Commission regulates health and care services in England. The stated diagnostic pathway uses organisations registered for applicable diagnostic and screening activities.
